How do I schedule an appointment?


All of our services begin with a simple consultation, this can be done by contacting us over the phone at (204)-571-9122 or directly through our website. Our staff will help to assess your particular needs and goals. Then we will schedule you for a first-visit with a suitable Counsellor or Provider in your specified areas.


What are the costs of seeing a counsellor?


As a private practice we require payment for any service(s) rendered, immediately following your appointment. The standard cost of a session depends on the length of time and type of service provided. Our rate for a standard 50 minute appointment is $150.00. Although, should cost be a barrier to support - please inquire about our Centre Supported Fee.

 

Do you accept insurance? Will my insurance cover our sessions?


Not all insurance is equal and coverage depends heavily on your specific network's requirements, including the provider that you choose to see. Fortunately, many of our counsellors are approved providers for various insurance. Including for Employee Assistance Programs (E.A.P.) and for Individuals whom are Treaty and/or Status (deemed eligible) under NHIB. As coverage varies greatly for each individual, we encourage clients to check their network's requirements ahead of booking their first appointment. For most approved insurances, claims are as simple as submitting your receipts following payment at our offices.


What type of payments do you accept for counselling services?


Home Counselling and Wellness currently requests that all payments be provided by cash or electronic transfer (e-transfer). Although, in some regards payment for your session may be provided directly through your insurance or coverage.


What are your hours of operation?


Our typical hours of operation vary throughout the week to accommodate the needs of both our clients and practitioners. The following days / times of operation are observed for our main office located in Brandon, MB:


  • Monday - Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Saturday - Sunday: Closed


Operational hours do vary more for our rural and remote offices as our practitioners typically designate their schedule in accordance to availability, travel, and currently registered clients.
